Melts! The Veggie Ones!

These are way too easy to warrant a whole separate post. So I will just keep adding to this every time I make a new one.

I used to work in a Bagel shop years ago and ever since I just love me a good melt. You can make them on bagels, baguettes, croissants, black Russian rye, you name it.

This is not for the anti-carb circuit. I believe in balance though. So I eat a little of everything.

And to start off here is the:

Tomato, Walla Walla Onion, Cream cheese and Friulano Melt on a Toasted Everything Bagel with Fresh Cracked Pepper and Smoked Salt.

That’s literally a mouth full. Or 12.

Basically toast bagel. Spread cream cheese. Top with sliced tomato and onions. Sprinkle with smoked salt. Top that with thick sliced cheese and cracked pepper. Bake in oven (350F ish) til melted and a little bit golden. I used to like to get the cheese super golden and bubbly but now I prefer a lighter melt, you retain the flavour of the cheese more that way and then the veggies don’t get too steamed up!

So simple. So delicious. Toasted bagel, cream cheese, tomato, onion, fontina, cracked pepper.
